English Old School Circuit, 4th Round Report

This past Sunday saw the 4th round of the English Old School Circuit, superbly hosted by Surrey Saracens Subbuteo Club. A fantastic turnout of 18 players gathered to compete under the old rules format, and the day truly captured the spirit of classic Subbuteo.
The event evoked great memories of last September’s Old Rules World Cup held in Royal Tunbridge Wells, with the impressive World Cup tables and authentic advertising boards creating a vibrant and nostalgic atmosphere. The venue looked absolutely stunning, a real treat for players and spectators alike!

A huge congratulations to English Subbuteo Association legend Rudi Peters, who claimed victory in the 4th round, making it two wins from two appearances so far! A brilliant achievement and a true display of experience and skill.

Congratulations also to Tony Banks, who lifted the Plate trophy after a strong performance, with Tony Kiely and Adam Jackson finishing as runners-up respectively.

A special thank you to the Surrey Saracens organising team, Simon Goodman, Charles Lee Fenton, Tony Banks, and Richard Myers, for putting together such a well-run and enjoyable event. Their hard work behind the scenes ensured everything ran smoothly and made the day a memorable success.
