Elliott Bellefontaine Wins The World Cup Warm-up WASPA at Pedmore

With the Eland Cables FISTF World Cup 2024 just weeks away, 32 players including 10 of the current England Squad visited Pedmore Subbuteo & Table Football Club for the Pedmore World Cup Warm-up WASPA Event. After a great days play it was England Open player Elliott Bellefontaine who lifted the trophy, with a will over training partner and fellow England squad member Sam Curtis by a 5-1 score line.

Into the Plate event, which was played by players who finished the group stages in the 3rd and 4th places in the table.






Congratulations to Cayne Matthews who was victorious over Simon McMurray by a 5-2 score line.

In the final of the Sfortunato Finger Event, for players who are knocked out of the Plate Event. Solent Player Malcolm Jamieson was the winner by 2-1 score line over Richard Roper.

Youth Players. It was England's Ruby Matthews who went the furthest into the competition, finishing Runner-up in the group stage and only going out to the eventual event winner in the last 16. Runner-up was Connor Gregory who finished in third position in the group stage. Connor went on to have a brilliant run to the Semi Final of the Plate Event winning games against Nigel Morgan and Malcolm Jamieson on the way, only losing to the Plate winner in the Semi Final.
