In what looked like a fantastic weekend of Subbuteo at the FISTF International Open of Glasgow, Current England international Elliott Bellefontaine was narrowly beaten 2-1 by team mate and Austrian International Christian Haas in an end-to-end final that was streamed live on Facebook (Thanks Lawrence Watson). On his way to glory, Christian beat Welsh Master Chris Bedford in his semi-final and in the other semi-final, Bob Varney was beaten by Elliott to setup the all Elstow final.
In the Team event it was Elstow Lions that were victorious over Wobbly Hobby by 3-0 with a strong team of Elliott Bellefontaine, Christian Hass, Chris Bedford, Martin Bellefontaine and Chris Thomas who defeated the Wobbly team of Alan Lee, Aaron Skinner, Kevin Cordell and Rudi Peters.
