This early Newfooty Rulebook makes very interesting reading - 4 flicks per player is just one difference from the rules that any of use are used to playing. Also the advice that practicing flicking with a small coin to get the correct action is recommended. But there are many gems in there - which is you favourite?
I'm not sure what year exactly this Rulebook is from as it is undated but based on the letters I think it is 1940s. Pre or post war I don't know.
