Leicester Foxes Subbuteo Fair Review

Updated: Jun 15, 2023

Sunday just gone, the 11th of June 2023 Leicester Foxes Subbuteo held their first ever Subbuteo collectors fair.

Held in Friar Lane Baptist Church Hall in Leicester, around 100 collectors and enthusiasts came to view, buy and drool over the green gold that is Subbuteo. With doors opening to buyers at 10am, there was already a queue at 9 am to get try and find the biggest bargains

Andy Henly of Leicester Foxes who organised the fair said, "Well the show was a success for both the traders and the buyers alike. We had many people asking us if we were going to make our collectors' fair a regular event, and that they hoped we would"

Andy went on to say "It just feels good that Leicester Foxes were able to bridge the gap between a club of players with different skill levels, and the collecting community, to show there is room for all types of people, with all types of interests in the world of Subbuteo."

And answer the question on next year "We will certainly be repeating the show next year, and it will be bigger and better than this year's. We have new ideas and will be building on the foundation that this year's collectors fair has given us. The traders were great, and the public left the show happy and wanting more!"

Great news and we can't wait for next year's event. You only have to check out these images from Graham Harwood and just how busy the fair was.
