Gianluca Zucchelli

Saturday 22nd March (part of the QPR History and Memorabilia Fair)

On Saturday 22nd March QPR are hosting an Old Subbuteo tournament, as part of the club's History Day and Memorabilia Fair, at their Loftus Road Stadium.

Traditional old style Subbuteo rules and equipment will be used, and the tournament will include some surprise themed pitches.

All players are welcome, regardless of ability or experience, but places are limited.

• QPR's connection to Subbuteo is especially strong. Its inventor, Peter Adolph, was a keen Rangers fan and the tournament will be named in his honour, as players compete for the “Peter Adolph Trophy”. Peter's son, Mark Adolph will be awarding the trophy as well as signing copies of his book "Growing up with Subbuteo" and chatting with fans.

• The main History Day and Memorabilia Fair event will take place on Saturday 22nd March 2025, in the Forever R’s Bar, located in the lower tier of the Loftus Engineering Stand on Loftus Road. The Subbuteo tournament will be held in the Sensory Room, also located in the lower tier of the Loftus Engineering Stand.

• The Rangers club shop plan to produce some limited edition Subbuteo related merchandise for sale on the day.  Nine football programme and memorabilia dealers will be attending, including Darren Ames the Subbuteo collectables specialist. There will also be six book authors, four Rangers fans will be selling shirts, programmes, tickets, handbooks and other collectables and the QPR Community Trust will also have a table.

• Admission to the event is £2, with a £5 entry fee for the Subbuteo tournament. Profits from the event will go to “Extra Time” – the club's QPR in the Community Trust project which has helped bring many local senior people together since 2009. Entrance is via the Loftus Road end turnstile area.
