Victor Jones (Harrow Hawkes) won the Subbuteo Old School Cup 2023 a WASPA tournament organised by London SC and Steve Moreton of the Stadium of Fingers at La Pizzica Restaurant in Fulham on Saturday 24 June 2023. Runner-up Simon Goodman (Surrey Saracens).
It was a classic final between two English Internationals: Simon Goodman (Surrey Saracens) was the Cup runner-up.
Valter Baroncini (London SC) won the Plate. Tony Banks (London SC) Plate runner-up.
Neil Doherty (Harrow Hawkes won the Shield. Gianluca Zucchelli (London SC) Shied runner-up.
We tested the Subbuteofest 2023 old school rules playing on cloth pitches with plastic goals and medium balls.
Before kick off we celebrated the life of Chris Phillips (Surrey Saracens) and Mike Dent with a minute applause ended on the note of Smoke on the water from Mike's favourite band, the Deep Purple.
